The stylists are anonymous
People book a person, not a salon. A site with no individual stylists, no specialisms and no portfolio per person is asking a nervous customer to pick at random.
Websites for hair salons
Custom websites for hair salons, built around the two things that decide it: who is going to cut it, and can they fit me in on Saturday.
Lumen Skin is a KustomSite design concept for the beauty brand category. It is not a client project and the business is fictional.

What costs you jobs
People book a person, not a salon. A site with no individual stylists, no specialisms and no portfolio per person is asking a nervous customer to pick at random.
A link that throws the visitor onto an unfamiliar platform, often with a different brand and a slow load, is where a large share of evening bookings are lost.
A PDF price list is unreadable on the device almost everyone is using. Colour prices in particular need explaining — length, correction, whether a consultation is required — and a PDF explains nothing.
The highest-value bookings are the nervous ones: going much shorter, going much lighter, a correction. A consultation route, stated plainly, captures the customer who will not book a colour blind.
What gets built instead
Specialisms, the kind of hair they most enjoy working with, their own portfolio, and a way to book them specifically.
One tap, your branding, your speed. Where a platform requires the hop, the handoff is at least made obvious rather than jarring.
By service, on the page, with the factors that move a colour price written out. Updatable in a minute rather than requiring a new file.
Short, free, and clearly not a commitment. It is how the highest-value appointments actually start.
Fair questions
It takes a cut, it owns the client list, and it shows your salon next to every other salon in town. Your own site is the only place where your stylists are the only option.
It is where they see the work, and it is a terrible place to answer a price question or take a Saturday booking at 9pm. The two jobs are different.
Asked often
Yes, and it usually makes the largest difference. People book a person — a page with their specialisms, their own portfolio and a direct booking link converts far better than a single team photograph.
Yes. The aim is to keep the visitor on your site for as long as the provider allows and to make the handoff obvious where it does not, because that is where evening bookings leak away.
Yes — the price list is structured content, not a designed file, so changing a service or a price is an edit rather than a redesign.
4 parts, and the trade is already answered when you arrive from here. Nothing is charged and nothing starts until you say so.
